Gatherings

Creating Stories Together

What is Home?

What is the world we have left, and

where do we find ourselves now?

Through our indoor and outdoor gatherings taught by local authors and skilled artists in the community, we will slow down and notice the details around us — light, color, texture and form.

We will build poems, art, and nonfiction, while together.

You will learn to rediscover and respect the beauty of your voice, your story, and your words.

Poetry Workshops

Whether you have written for years or are completely new, join me as we experiment with words, language and form.

 Building a Home in Words

Come with me on a creative writing journey where we incorporate poetry and non-fiction to explore the question - what is home? What have you left? What have you gained?

Art & Writing About Place
Improv & Poetry Workshops

Incorporating gentle and fun improv exersizes with poetry writing helps us get out of our head and into our bodies. By combining these two art forms, we can quiet our inner critic. This allows writing to come from a place of connectivity, embodiment, and joy.

Slow down. What do you see around you? Does that bird remind you of a memory, a shape, or a feeling? What do you smell? Hear? How would you describe the landscape around you, or the energy that is in the air? I will help create space for you to describe the environment around you, and then find words for your own human experience.
