In My Own Words

Where have you encountered a place where you felt calm? Maybe a breakfast nook, or a well loved chair, muted on one side by years of sunlight. For me, it was my kitchen with green cabinets, strings of dried oranges hung in the windows, and the smell of something delicious in the oven.

But then, I (like you), left home. I moved across the world. Now, I am creating home again from scratch, while trying to navigate a new city and a language. This reality may be a joy, a grief, or a combination of the two for every person who does the same.

Our stories are all different, but the need for a safe place to come home to seems universal. Thats what was the spark which turned into this business many years ago.

I started Olive Leaf in 2019, when I began to help design therapy rooms and other spaces for clients. The business grew into a full staging and design operation based in Spokane, WA, with a warehouse and employees. Now, I am taking all of the experience I have gained, and am applying these skills in this new city of Barcelona. The difference, is I am distilling everything down to its most basic form in the design process and adding more art, poetry and community, which I am passionate about.

In my design work, I bring hints of nature and simplicity to the items I recommend. I love sourcing from local artists, and working around and with the pieces you already have and love. I know the importance of bringing personality, story, and color into a space. Below this section, I outline my method.

By providing a creative, collaborative and personalized plan for you, you will be included in the process every step of the way.

I look forward to meeting you wherever you are at on this journey.
